Bonding Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Below 25 years old on date of application
  • Strong leadership skills & active participation in extra curriculum, social and volunteer activities
  • Full-time student
  • Non-employed candidate
  • Must not be sponsored by other financial institutions
  • The candidate is required to serve an employment bond of 5 + 2 years with DRB-HICOM Group of Companies

Minimum Requirements

  • SPM/SPMV candidates with minimum 5 As inclusive of Mathematics and English

Value of Awards

  • The scholarship covers tuition fee, library fee, lab fee, workshop fee, student activities fee, insurance fee, exam fee and hostel accommodation
Privileged Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Below 25 years old on date of application.
  • Strong leadership skills & active in extra curriculum, social and volunteer activities
  • Full-time student
  • Non-employed candidate
  • The total monthly income of parents or guardian does not exceed RM2,500
  • Must not be sponsored by other financial institutions.
  • The candidate is required to serve an employment bond of 5 + 2 years with HUCSB / DRB-HICOM

Minimum Requirements

  • SPM/SPMV candidates with minimum 5 As with credits in Mathematics and English Value of Awards
  • The scholarship covers tuition fee, library fee, lab fee, workshop fee, student activities fee, insurance fee, exam fee, uniform fee and hostel accommodation plus pocket allowance
Zakat Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Muslim
  • “Asnaf”
  • Below 25 years old on date of application.
  • Strong leadership skills & active in extra curriculum, social and volunteer activities
  • Full-time student
  • Non-employed candidate
  • Must not be sponsored by other financial institutions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineering & Technology (DMS, DVI, DVA, DST)
    Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/O-Level with at least *three (3) credits including pass in Mathematics and English; or any  equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • Business & Management (DPV & DRP) Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ O-level with *three (3) credits in any subjects and pass in
    English; or any equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • Business & Management (DRM & DPM) Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with *three (3) credits and (priority will be given to candidate
    with credits in Mathematics and Science and pass in English); or any equivalentqualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Pos Malaysia Sponsorship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Permanent Pos Malaysia staff
  • Pos Malaysia employee has served the Company for at least 10 years
  • No disciplinary cases committed for the past 1 year
  • One application per family
  • Total household gross income of less than RM4,000 per month for full sponsorship and RM8,000 per month for partial sponsorship
    (Not qualified to apply are retirees, those who will retire in 2015, 2106, 2017 and those who are serving a resignation notice)

Minimum Requirements

  • Students must fulfill all DHU eligibility requirements

Full Scholarship

  • Open to children of Pos Malaysia employees with gross household income of less than RM4,000 per month
  • Pos Malaysia employee is bonded with the Company for a period of 3 years
  • Full sponsorship of tuition fee, exam fee and other fees only. Equates to RM42,550 for business programmes and RM53,050 for engineering programmes

Partial Scholarship

  • Open to children of Pos Malaysia employees with gross household income of less than RM8,000 per month
  • Pos Malaysia employee is not bonded with the Company for any period
  • Partial sponsorship (approximately 55%) of tuition fee and exam fee only. Up to RM24,000 for business programmes. Up to RM30,000 for engineering programmes
Top Achievers’ Award

Eligibility Requirements

  • DHU Students (Malaysian)
  • No disciplinary action
  • Involvement in extra curriculum, social and volunteer activities.
  • Self-funded students

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates with minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.33

Value of Awards

  • CGPA 4.00 – 75% waiver of tuition fee
  • CGPA between 3.67 – 3.99 – 50% waiver of tuition fee
  • CGPA between 3.33 – 3.66 – 25% waiver of tuition fee
DRB-HICOM Education Assistance

This scheme allows qualified students to obtain an education assistance from DRB-HICOM to partially finance either their study or their children’s study.

  • Strong leadership skills & active participation in extra curriculum, social and volunteer activities
  • Full-time
  • Non-employed candidate
  • Must not be sponsored by other financial institutions.
  • Guarantors are required
  • Subject to receive loan financing from PTPTN

Minimum Requirements :

  • Engineering & Technology (DMS, DVI, DVA, DST)

Employee Provident Fund (EPF/KWSP) withdrawal

This scheme allows qualified EPF members to withdraw their savings from the second account to finance either their study or their children’s study.

How to Apply
Complete the form KWSP 9H (AHL) and bring along the following documents:

  • Public Identification Card / Military Identification Card / MyKad
  • Offer letter from DHU
  • Academic qualification certificates such as SPM, STPM, Degree and other related qualifications
  • Copy of University Approval Letter from the Private Education Department and course approval from the National Accreditation
    Department (These will be issued by DHU)
  • Student card and examination result slip for previous semester / academic year (for application of second semester / year and subsequent
    withdrawals only)
  • Other related documents as requested by the EPF from time to time.Additional Documents (original and photocopies):
  • For Children’s Education Withdrawal Identification Card and Birth Certificate of your children
  • Your marriage certificate (if you and your spouse apply for a joint withdrawal)

Social Security Organization (SOCSO/PERKESO) Withdrawal

This benefit is in the form of an education loan given to dependent children who are in receipt of a monthly benefit for Dependents Benefit, Survivor’s Pension or children of an employee who is in receipt of a monthly benefit for Permanent Disablement or Invalidity Pension.

How to Apply
Applicants must submit Form PKS (F)100 with complete details, attached to a passport-sized photo and a certified true copy of the following
documents

  • Public Identification Card / Military Identification Card / MyKad / Offer letter from DHU
  • Academic qualification certificates such as SPM, STPM, Degree and other related qualifications;
  • Copy of University Approval Letter from the Private Education Department and course approval from the National Accreditation
    Department (These will be issued by DHU)
  • Student card and examination results slip for previous semester / academic year (for application of second semester / year and
    subsequent withdrawals only)
  • Other related documents as requested by the EPF from time to time.
