To equip students with the appropriate automotive knowledge, functions of automotive components (i.e. engine, transmission etc), servicing processes and workshop management.

  • To produce technically competent students in hands-on and soft skills to fulfil automotive service industry needs
  • To equip students with service technology knowledge and social responsibility in automotive industry
  • To demonstrate entrepreneurship skills and recognize the need of lifelong learning for successful career development
Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, graduates will be able to:

  • Acquire and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering related to service technology
  • Apply appropriate techniques, resources and knowledge to perform vehicle-servicing activities
  • Apply the fundamentals of management to support vehicle-servicing activity
  • Solve related problems using appropriate tools in vehicle servicing
  • Apply continual improvement initiatives throughout vehicle servicing field
  • Acquire an appreciation of professional ethics, safety, health and environment in vehicle servicing area
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills through effective communication
  • Appreciate principles of management, business practices and entrepreneurship
  • Recognize the need for professional development and lifelong learning
Career Opportunities

This programme provides opportunities for graduates to occupy technical and supervisory positions such as Service Manager, After Sales Head, Service Executive, After Sales Executive, Workshop Executive, Service Advisor, Technical Supervisor and Insurance Adjuster.

Entry Requirements

New Entry Requirement:

Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics;
  • One (1) relevant science/ technical/ vocational subject; and
  • Any other subject
  • Pass in English


Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a pass in Mathematics, English and one (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject at the SPM level;


Recognised Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent;


Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Certificate or its equivalent with one (1) year of relevant work experience or a minimum of one (1) semester of a bridging programme;


Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least a B grade in three subject;


Other qualification that is approved by the University’s Senate.


Lulus Sijil Vokasional dan Teknikal / Kemahiran yang setara dengan tahap 3 MQF dengan mendapat PNGK 2.00 dan 1 tahun pengalaman dalam bidang berkaitan atau 1 semester program pengukuhan


For International students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs shall offer an English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally shall be conducted through an assessment process.
