Objective
  • Produce technically competent students in hands-on and soft skills to fulfil automotive industry needs
  • Equip students with knowledge in vehicle inspection management and social responsibility in automotive industry

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, graduates will be able to:

  • Acquire and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering related to vehicle inspection
  • Apply appropriate techniques, resources and knowledge to perform vehicle inspection activity
  • Apply the fundamentals of management to support vehicle inspection activity
  • Solve related problems using appropriate tools in vehicle inspection
  • Apply continual improvement initiatives throughout vehicle inspection field
  • Acquire an appreciation of professional ethics, safety, health and environment in vehicle inspection area
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills through effective communication

Career Opportunities

This programme provides opportunity for graduate to occupy technical and supervisory position such as vehicle examiner, insurance adjuster, service advisor, technical advisor, pre-delivery inspector and factory supervisor.

Entry Requirements

New Entry Requirement:

Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics;
  • One (1) relevant science/ technical/ vocational subject; and
  • Any other subject
    AND
  • Pass in English

OR

Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a pass in Mathematics, English and one (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject at the SPM level;

OR

Recognised Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent;

OR

Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Certificate or its equivalent with one (1) year of relevant work experience or a minimum of one (1) semester of a bridging programme;

OR

Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least a B grade in three subject;

OR

Other qualification that is approved by the University’s Senate.

AND

Lulus Sijil Vokasional dan Teknikal / Kemahiran yang setara dengan tahap 3 MQF dengan mendapat PNGK 2.00 dan 1 tahun pengalaman dalam bidang berkaitan atau 1 semester program pengukuhan

AND

For International students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs shall offer an English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally shall be conducted through an assessment process.
