Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, graduates will be able to:

  • Acquire and apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering related to vehicle assembly industry
  • Apply appropriate techniques, resources and manufacturing tools to vehicle assembly industry
  • Apply the fundamentals of quality management concept in producing good quality product
  • Solve related problems using appropriate tools in vehicle assembly industry
  • Apply continual improvement initiatives throughout vehicle assembly industry
  • Acquire an appreciation of professional ethics, safety, health and environment in manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills through effective communication
  • Appreciate principles of management, business practices and entrepreneurship
  • Recognize the need for professional development and lifelong learning
Career Opportunities

Technical and supervisory positions as Production Planning Supervisor, Logistic Supervisor, Inventory Supervisor, Plant Supervisor, Paint Shop Supervisor, Body Shop Supervisor, Assembly Line Supervisor and QMS Technician / Supervisor.

Entry Requirements

New Entry Requirement:

Pass SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics;
  • One (1) relevant science/ technical/ vocational subject; and
  • Any other subject
    AND
  • Pass in English

OR

Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a pass in Mathematics, English and one (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject at the SPM level;

OR

Recognised Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent;

OR

Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Certificate or its equivalent with one (1) year of relevant work experience or a minimum of one (1) semester of a bridging programme;

OR

Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least a B grade in three subjects;

OR

Other qualification that is approved by the University’s Senate.

AND

For International students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs shall offer an English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally shall be conducted through an assessment process.
