The aim of the programme is to enable the student to develop a deeper knowledge, greater understanding, and wider capabilities and attitudes in Business and Management. The student will also develop high level skills in objective, scientific research methods, research presentation, and strong persuasive skills.

Objective

The objectives of the Master of Management (By Research) programme are as follows:

  • Enhance knowledge of relevant areas in Business and Management
  • Develop a thorough understanding of appropriate research methods
  • Develop competence in independent investigation and research
  • Make a significant contribution to the existing knowledge of Business and Management
  • Demonstrate competence in communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate innovative, creative, and analytical and problem solving abilities
Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate high level mastery of knowledge in Business and Management
  • Apply practical skills in Business and Management and integrate with theoretical frameworks and explanations
  • Relate ideas to societal issues in Business and Management
  • Conduct research with minimal supervision and adhere to legal, ethical and professional codes of practice
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities through communicating and working effectively with peers and stakeholders
  • Generate solutions to problems using scientific and critical thinking skills
